"Drip Drop" by Rafael Gallardo.
Acrylic / canvas. 18" x 28"
The painting features a central vertical element that
resembles a tree or plant form, with numerous thin, branch-like
lines extending outward from the main stem. The background
consists of a blend of various colors, including yellows at the
top, transitioning into greens and then into reds and purples
towards the bottom. The ‘branches’ appear to be created by a
dripping or splattering technique, with small droplets of paint
scattered across the canvas, predominantly in green but with
occasional hints of red. This gives the impression of dynamic
movement as if the ‘tree’ is either releasing or attracting
these droplets. The painting is interesting due to its abstract
interpretation of natural forms through color and texture, as
well as its use of the drip technique to create an organic
network that stands out against the softer background.
